OVERVIEW

Avisons, a small family business located in Upper Hutt, is run by the dynamic mother-daughter duo Gayleen and Nicole. Celebrating 22 years in business, they embarked on a journey to revitalise their brand, aligning it with their current business landscape.

SCOPE

Our mission was to deliver a comprehensive rebranding package, encompassing a fresh logo design, a new colour palette, an engaging website, a customer-focused email template, eye-catching signage, distinctive labels, and business cards.

PROCESS

The primary challenge in the Avisons rebranding project was to craft a modern and dynamic logo that resonated with the business's current offerings and aspirations. The existing logo, featured a calligraphy font and a Fleur de lis, originally reflecting the business's French style products that was to restricting. Our goal was to create a simpler design with a touch of vibrant colour.

To start, we conducted an extensive analysis of similar businesses within the industry, identifying common design themes, colour schemes, and styles. We delved deeper into the name 'Avison,' which is not only unique but is also the owners surname, and realised its potential significance for the rebrand.

The research process uncovered the family's old coat of arms, prominently featuring a sheaf of wheat. In heraldry, wheat symbolises life, growth, and prosperity. We saw an opportunity to integrate this symbol into the brand's new identity.

Engaging with Nicole and Gayleen, we observed the business's evolution from a homewares to a lifestyle store. Avisons now offers a diverse range of high-quality personal accessories designed to enhance everyday life and add value to their customers' lives.

The choice of green as the primary colour was not random; it signifies new beginnings and growth, perfectly aligning with the brand's new identity. The selection of an elegant, all-capital font emphasised the power and distinctiveness of the 'Avison' name itself, without overshadowing it.

RESULT

This rebranding project finished with a fresh, dynamic, and unique visual identity that now positions Avisons as a symbol of growth, prosperity, and a high-quality lifestyle experience.
